2015 Capital Region Legislators Reception

The Metro Chamber's Capital Region Legislators Reception honors the distinguished efforts of the state delegation from our region and brings attention to the importance of cooperative action in order to achieve the goals set by the state legislature.

It is our distinct pleasure to honor the outgoing President of California State University, Sacramento, Alexander Gonzalez.  President Gonzalez is retiring after transforming the university in a major generator of human capital in the region.  He is distinguished as one of the longest continuously serving presidents in the university system with 17 years of service - 11 years at Sacramento State and six years at California State University, San Marcos.  Gonzalez’s higher education career spans nearly 40 years.
