5th Annual Run Your Gourd Off
Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm is gearing up for its 5th Annual Run Your Gourd Off 5k and Kid’s ½ Mile Pumpkin Dash on September 25, and this year will be bigger and better than ever. Each child racing for glory in the Kid’s ½ Mile Pumpkin Dash will receive a t-shirt and a small pumpkin, while adults will race for a much bigger haul: their weight in pumpkins! In addition to races, this lively event will play host to hay rides, a tree house, Farmer Bill’s Barn, NASPIG races (think NASCAR, but for pigs) and much more. Even better than the fun and games, the proceeds from this event will benefit the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Center of Sacramento which accomplished a 96 percent reduction in child abuse cases among the families served just last year.
