Former California Secretary of Commerce, Sunne Wright McPeak
McPeak will discuss the state and regional objectives for her organization, the California Emerging Technology Fund, including a Regional Broadband Initiative, managed by Valley Vision. In addition, the Los Rios Community College District’s Center of Excellence will release a report on the importance of ''digital literacy'' to grow the number of users and developers of information technology. Finally, a panel of experts will discuss the current and future economic impact of information technology
and emerging entrepreneurs in the Capital Region and investigate the role of educators and training providers will play in ''growing our own'' technology and entrepreneurial talent.
