CSUS has granted degrees to about 160,000 people throughout its 57th year history and in March, the CSUS Alumni Association is acknowledging several former students for contributions to the University and communities. The 18th annual Distingusihed alumni Awards Dinner.
The association is granting awards to Fred Dalkey, a Sacramento City College art instructor; Kayla Gillian with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board in Washington, D.C.; retired CIA agent Craig Johnson; Robin Martial, executive vice president with Cardinal Health; David Mering, president of Mering and Associates; retired teacher Melba Mosher; Pam Saltenberger, executive director for Girl Scouts of Tierra del Oro; Sacramento City councilman Robbie Waters; and Mary Jane Young, a Sac Bernardinao teacher.
This year's Honorary alumnus award will be presented to Ray Clemons, retired CSUS athletics director and football coach.
The association is giving the Distinguished Faculty Award to kinesiology professor Scott Modell.
