The Sacramento Tree Foundation has been working with the elected officials within SACOG region since 2001 to double the region's tree canopy over the next 40 years to maximize the benefits of our urban forest. Air quality, water quality, energy, real estate and businesses all benefit from trees, and we can maximize those benefits by improving the urban forests in each municipality within the region.
The Greenprint, previously called the Sacramento Regional Urban Forest Framework, is embarking upon an exciting time of stakeholder and community involvement. We are currently scheduling Greenprint public workshops throughout the region to educate the community about the benefits of trees and engage in an interactive discussion of the Draft Greenprint.
The Draft Greenprint is located on the STF website at http://sactree.com/ruff/ufrf96/RUFRHome.html
