Lecture: Dr. Rachel Miller on “Highest Heaven”

Join us for an in-depth look at the art and history behind the exhibition “Highest Heaven: Spanish and Portuguese Colonial Art from the Roberta and Richard Huber Collection” with Dr. Rachel Miller, professor of early modern European art history at California State University, Sacramento. Dr. Miller completed her doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on global Catholic art with an emphasis on the artistic patronage of the Jesuits, and her talk will help illuminate the stories behind the creation of these beautiful works of art, and why they remain so fascinating and important to us today.
