NEW Project Planning for Nonprofit Managers

As more nonprofits strive to be results-oriented and outcome-driven, effective project planning is a crucial skill for project managers, program sponsors, and line staff. Our day-long workshop focuses on ''best practices'' for project management with a key focus on projects that require collaboration within a department or across the entire organization. Participants in this event will:

• learn how to break down large complex projects into manageable elements
• use MS Office Excel worksheets as a simple planning tool
• establish project management protocols to insure ownership of key tasks and accountability
• review examples of project planning strategies and tools

This workshop is designed so beginners can learn to avoid ''budget busters'' when preparing their first budgets. We will also show you how to read financial statements and know when to borrow to cover cash flow problems.
