OPERATION SHOE BOX

Last uear, the West Sacramento Rotary Club led a campaign to collect shoe boxes full of items, then sent them to our troops in Iraq - it was an overwhelming success! Once again, the Rotary Club is collecting shoe boxes full of items - and is asking for your help. You can bring your filled shoe box to the Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 2 starting at 6pm, or drop them off at the Chamber office by Dec. 5th & the Rotary Club will get them sent off! Here's the list of items being suggested ; a letter, small cans or plastic bottles of exotic sauces to put on their plain noodles, homemade cookies, quality gym socks, shower sandals, boxer-brief style 34 in. underwear, beef jeriky, hard candy like lifesavers, DVD's of the latest movies, Batteries (AA & AAA), Snacks, baby wipes, small bottles of lotion & shaving cream, quality disposable razors, dental floss, tooth brushes, etc. Please put a dollar bill in the box to cover the cost of shipping.
