Roge will open the New Millennium Concert Series in the Music Recital Hall at CSUS.
He will play a program of mostly French music, including book 1 of the Preludes by Claude Debussy.
"It is one of the stone marks of French music," he said. The 11 preludes on the first half of the program include the familiar "Girl With the Flaxen Hair" and "The Engulfed Cathedral."
"I will play the second half with Natsuke Fukasawa from Sacramento," Roge said, "I met her in Ossaka when she won a chamber music prize there...we will play Ravel's 'La Waltz' and Rachmaninov's Second Suite on two pianos."
"French music is my cup of tea," the pianist said. "it's the music I prefer and the music I am proud to perform, especially for people who don't know it so much. The only country that doesn't know french music now is France.
