As the Executive Director, Greater Sacramento Region for the American Cancer Society, Alexis is leading a talented team of professionals who work to ensure that cancer patients and their families across the region are aware of the many programs and services offered, including lodging and transportation for patients, guidance, and community support. In partnership with local volunteers, her team executes events such as Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Sacramento which brings out 25,000 annual attendees, and a new food is medicine initiative and culinary event, Taste of Hope, launching Spring 2025. The team also aims to create meaningful partnerships with companies and individuals who want to further ACS’ impact and reach through employee and community channels, further reducing the barriers to care and ensuring everyone has a fair and just chance to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer.
